An interesting site in BANGOR North Wales is due to be offered for sale by online auction later this month with joint auctioneers, Williams & Goodwin & All Wales Auction. The site which extends to approximately 0.89 acres was the former Cae Top School in the Upper Bangor area of the city.
Tim Goodwin from Williams & Goodwin who was a former pupil at the school and stated:
“Having being taught at Ysgol Cae Top over 50 years ago, it was inconceivable at that time that I would spend all my working life in the local property market and now return to my childhood memories, being instructed to offer for sale an area which means so much to those who passed through the school gates”.
Melfyn Williams from All Wales Auction added:
Offering property for sale by auction provides an opportunity to purchase in an open, transparent transaction that is proving popular among our sellers and buyers. With this sale perhaps being a rather unique property for the area, the auction should provide interested parties an opportunity to bid and buy at the market value for the site in its current form.
Tim concluded:
“Sadly the site has lain idle for over a decade now and has become vandalised and derelict. So, whilst no planning consents for redevelopment have been obtained, the sale by online auction could provide an opportunity for an individual, charity or other organisation to bring such an area back to useful life and benefit all around”.
